As an extreme sports ocean athlete my body gets stressed and contorted into all sorts of weird positions at critical moments. I’m pushing 50 now and have about 35 years experience in the ocean. This accumulated knowledge allows me to play in some potentially very dangerous conditions, and as the years go by I could feel that my body was no longer keeping up with the demands I would expect of it.

There is barely a month that goes by that one of fellow ocean addicts is out of the water for months on end with an injury, predominantly affecting hammies, shoulders and lower backs. I would say that Sarah is to “blame” for my love of endurance sports since my first Ironman back in 2010. After a recent time out following a number of long races under my belt Sarah has given me the drive and motivation to get back out there achieve my new goals.
